THE INDIANS OF PANAMA
12 days/ 11 nights (last one on flight)

We propose you a journey beyond the time, a journey made of meetings and to the discovery of some of the last ethnos in Central America : Panama counts with seven native ethnos and we offer you to spend the week with two of them : the Embera-Wounann and the Kunas.

DAY 1 - PARIS / PANAMA CITY
Arrival at Panama international airport. Transfer to hotel BEST WESTERN LAS HUACAS 2* SUPERIOR.

DAY 2 - CITY TOUR
After breakfast you will leave with your English speaking guide for a full day to the discovery of the ruins and of the museum of « Panama La Vieja », first town established by the Spanish in 1519. Lunch in a typical restaurant, then visit of the colonial district called Casco Viejowith its colonial churches, the French Square, Bolivar Square, followed by a visit of the Canal of Panama Museum. Possibility to visit the Miraflores locks. You will be back at you hotel by the end of the afternoon. BEST WESTERN LAS HUACAS 2* SUPERIOR.

DAY 3 to 5 - PANAMA CITY / DARIEN REGION
Darien is considered as the last wild region in Central America.
You will leave Panama by 4X4 or by plane and canoe with a guide. Arrival at Boca Lara village.
First day: getting in touch with the environment, installation. Dinner with the Indians. Second day: tropical Forest excursion with an Indian guide. Third day: in the morning, discovery of the mangrove by canoe and in the afternoon dances and crafts.

DAY 6 – DARIEN REGION/ PANAMA CITY
You will leave at dawn for Meteti, possibility to walk in a beautiful tropical forest followed by a picnic. Boarding at Puerto Quimba, heading for the village of La Palma that, no doubt, will surprise you.
Back to Panama City. Transfer to hotel BEST WESTERN LAS HUACAS 2* SUPERIOR.

DAY 7 to 9 - SAN BLAS: PLAYÓN CHICO, MAMITUPO or RIO SIDRA (according to your choice)
Departure at dawn by plane for Playon Chico or Mamitupo or Rio Sidra according to the hotel you chose.
At your arrival in this archipelago, discovery of the Kuna Indians, possible excursions in the villages, beaches or the coral sea bottom.

DAY 10 - San Blas Archipleago/ Panama City: FREE DAY

Departure early in the morning for the flight back to Panama City. Transfer to hotel BEST WESTERN LAS HUACAS.

DAY 11 - Panama City / XX: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel.  Private transfer to Tocumen international airport.
