The weather is tropical for the major part of the country. the average temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius. however, there is some difference from one state to another: for example, at the top of the certain mountains close to Mérida the snow is present almost all year long, while the plains and the coast are always warm. In some areas situated between 1,000 to 2,000 meters high the weather is temperate, with temperatures between 16° and 23°C.
The raining season is from June to November. the rainy provinces are located at the South of the Lake of Maracaibo, in Guyana, in the Amazon state and in the Orinoco Delta. The driest counties are the Falcon coast, the Guarico plains, Lara, Anzoategui, Monagas and Margarita Island.
